Full Course Description
Each week will address a different part of the design process as part of one complete project to develop the skills necessary for the Interior Design student to move forward with a career in the industry using Revit for computer aided drafting. The focus is on the development of 2 completed floorplans to be used in your final portfolio
This course is required for all enrolled students. This course is scheduled to run on site in a face to face delivery format on Mondays and Wednesdays.

- Week 1 - – building floors, walls, ceilings - hiding ceiling layer, push/pull tool, measure tool, hide/unhide elements, transferring a sketch plan to a 3D model, apply textures and materials - upload custom tiles wood etc
- Week 2- – 3D warehouse, adding lights, adding windows, adding HVAC, adding industrial elements, how to customize warehouse materials
- Week 3 - purpose of room selection, creativity, concept creation, bubble diagrams, trying multiple materials, sourcing materials, applying custom materials to scale, including new structural elements, inspiration
- Week 4 - 3D warehouse, adding lights, adding windows, adding HVAC, adding industrial elements, how to customize warehouse materials
- Week 5 - sketchup model open studio
- Week 6 - midterm
- Week 7 - Initial core creation of residential studio - transferring floorplan to 3d model
- Week 8 - Residential 3D Warehouse
- Week 9 - Including realistic elements, hide elements and screenshot styles
- Week 10 - No Class - Fall Break
- Week 11 - Residential & Commercial Open studio
- FINAL - complete commercial 3D model due
